Pricy internet fees

I got my first bill with rogers today and i looked at the internet fee and it was $45!! I looked at that with extreme shock becuase i had only downloaded 6 ringtones. I know that it is 5cent/kb or watever but the ringtones ive put on my phone have all been from here and they were all like 8 kb or less. I used Jhonny.org to dl them on my phone. Now on my bill it says like 108 kb on the dates where i downloaded one rigntone. How can this be possible??? anyone else have this problem?

I had 849$ last month. I'm not paying it off, I don't care about the credit but I unlocked the phone.

I'm not sure I've downloaded a few games and a few tones and I'll get my forst bill on the 8th. wish me luck.

Yes, the internet fees are disgusting. You are being charged by the KB. So loading a graphic rich site is going to take a chunk out of your pocket.

i got a USB cabel a while ago so that fixed my problem. Except that i cant load games onto it but hey thats nto wat a phone is for anyways.

my net bill from rogers last month was almost $600 and most of that is from the rogers site. now they say they will suspend/disconnect my line if payment is not made what do i do next its unfair that i cant talk cause of outrageous internet charges

How do you not plan on paying, you bit off more than you can chew. I hope you don't plan on getting a new phone because I'm sure the phone company will keep that on file for a long time.

Althought I heard that it is expensive to use wap with your phone, I never thought that it is so high. According to Rogers' web site, it doesn't seem as high as others posted. I am not sure if that is because Rogers has lowered their price recently or what.

Holy Geez. You two, how in God's name can you be so oblivious of the potential incurred fees for WAP? I'm serious., you guys better sort this out...and by sort, I mean PAY IT. I suggest, playing the completely "I'm very stupid, and didn't realize" card. Call into customer service, and explain you had no idea. I should think at this amount, they would give you a couple hundred dollars off as a token of good faith of you trying to resolve this mistake. I can't promise it..because the most I ever got mistakenly charged via their billing system (not my own fault) was 200 for erroneous picture messaging, which they credited eventually. But something in the league of your 6-900....wow. I'm truly impressed. You must've frozen your fingers in those positions for quite some time lol.

All the best. I'm assuming as much...but please clarify, that these bills you have are exclusivELY WAP bills, and not voice and other charges?
