Hey guys, another question.
I have a friend that wants to get a BlackBerry. Basically all that we want it for is to use as a phone, and then have the added benefits of the organizer and contacts and so on. What I want to know, is can we use a BlackBerry and then sign up with a Mega Time plan? Or will Rogers know its a BlackBerry and force us to get a BlackBerry plan? Email isn't a huge concern, neither is data. It would be nice, but not enough to get a BlackBerry plan. It's main use is as a phone.
If it is possible to do this, are there any restrictions? Like can I still use BlackBerry Internet Service, and just pay for email that I use? Or get that $5 a month for the 2mb data feature and use that for it? I don't see why I couldn't use it with a regular plan but just wanted to find out first. Thanks!

Re: Can I use BlackBerry with a standard Mega time plan?
You can use a blackberry with any Rogers plan, although without a blackberry plan you will not be able to use any of the BIS options.
Hope this helps.
