My situation:

In less than a year I will be heading off on a "round the world" motorcycle/photography tour that is scheduled to consume 3-5 years of my life (I will only be on assignment for the first 3 years). Sponsored by Nikon, BMW, and a long list of sponsors I don't wish to list right now. I will tour the globe and put together a portfolio of photos that will be used in a new ad campaign for BMW as well as Nikon and I plan to publish a book a year or 2 later documenting the journey.

I'm looking for a Smart phone that can display maps, manage Email, work in several countries blah blah blah. So far a few phones have caught my eye. The Blackberry 8830 and Motorola Q q9 have been highly recommended to me by a few associates but I am unclear on the meaning of all the numbers and letters in the specs sheets.... So I turn to all of you for assistance and guidance!

Basic functions I require:

-Phone
-Maps
-GPS
-Organizer
-Email
-Instant messaging.
-Internet browsing
-Adaptable to networks around the world.
-Wi-Fi
-Blue tooth.
-LONG battery life ( I could be no where near any power source for upward of 2 weeks and I need the phone to work for at least 50-75% of the time.) I could always carry a spare battery.

Any phone suggestions would be much appreciated.

Currently I have a sim card for Rogers and it would be nice if I could keep that plan. If its required I can switch providers. A small price for such a handy device.

***NOTE *** I am very cell phone Illiterate so I apologies if I have listed irrelevant or non-existent features for a Cell phone.
