Question about buying and selling phones

I am trying to sell my rogers phone so I can buy a new one. Is it possible to sell the phone if i bought it on a 3 year contract? a buyer turned me down after i said i bought it on a contract.

Yes you are able to sell the phone. However the buyer would be unable to use the sim card if it is all ready registered. As far as telling the potential buyer you bough into a contract, refrain from saying anything about it. It wont effect them and in a worst case scenario the buyer will think you're trying to Transfer the entire phone+contract into their name. One more thing to think about is you're phone's 1 year warranty. As long as you can provide the IMEI/Serial number off the phone you can let the buyer know the phone is still covered from any defects/non-physical or water damage from the original date of purchase. This type of security can usually make a buyer a little less worried about the phone.
