well any honest seller on cpf will refund money in exchange for the product being returned.

fyi, this isn't the first issue of the seller's fraudulent activity, so it stand to reason that the buyer is being honest.

A charging issue doesn't sound anything like a shipping problem to me though. I suppose it is possible though that something could have happened to damage it in shipping and wether or not that seller is being honest on this one, the buyer will have to take the fall unless he can prove the product was broken before shipping.
No... actually I gave him my FedEx account number and he took it to FedEx and THEY packed it quite well. So there is no chance whatsoever that it was damaged during shipping. The phone JUST DIDN'T work and he scammed me. I know I got the item at a discounted price but I wanted it to at least power on!! I have emails from him stating the condition of the item as WORKING.

    YES! REPORT HIM!

I have stayed on the sidelines of this dispute from the beginning, and read each post to this thread as it came up. If this guy is that hungry and poor nearly every city has a rescue mission, or he could look for charity in one of his local churches/synagogues. That does not give him the right to scam people or refuse a return for a defective/damaged item. I am not ashamed to admit that my parents kicked me out on the streets when I was 17 and I sometimes went days without eating until I found a job and place to stay. I didn't try to rip anybody off to put food in my mouth!

If you don't report him, he will be free to do this again to other people, don't take any ridiculous excuse from this person as a reason to let him slide. Moreover, do not let him make you feel even the slightest bit guilty about his banishment; ever heard the old adage "you made your bed now lie in it", Saccento? Or how about "What comes around goes around" and another favorite of mine "You will get what's coming to you".

Well...after a little over a month I finally got my money back today. Just to let everyone know - I don't actually think this kid is a scammer anymore like I once thought. I think he just made a poor decision and didn't think things through. As far as I am concerned it's squashed and if you wanted to let him back on the site I wouldn't have a problem with it. Thanks everyone for ALL OF YOUR HELP!!!
