FS: Brand New CDMA phones

got some brand spankin new cdma phones. They are from Bell Mobility, but will work with various other providers as I have the unlock codes for them. However, they will not work with telus.

Note to potential buyers, PLEASE call your provider before you buy an "unlocked" CDMA phone and ask them if they will activate it. I know that most if not all US providers that offer CDMA service will not activate a phone that is not branded for their service! Check here.

I appologize, i usually dont forget to add this. I even put it in my ebay auctions. Basically, call your provider and ask them. If they require an ESN, lemme know and i can give it to u. Some of the companies i KNOW will activate the phones are: ALLIANT, ALLTEL, VERIZON, and SPRINT. Thx for your interest.

ps. unlock codes for CDMA are different than those for GSM phones. When u unlock a cdma phone all u do is change the SID/NID values and a few others such as ur phone number. Your provider will give u the values.

Since your rep on our site is "infamous around these parts", it might help you sell stuff here if you can link us to your ebay feedback and then people can see that you are legit. Maybe you could even put some links in your sig back to your ebay links, I think that would be acceptable as long as the links are subtle and don't look like advertising.

BUH, anyway...im busy with my exams now and will post my ebay feedback soon. but if u have any questions about the legitimacy of my phones ask chefedwincook, he met me in person and bought my ppc 6600. I even let him take a picture of me for his fraud prevention..lol

to be honest i dont really care bout that lil rep thinggy, unless someone actually "says" something bad, then as far as im concerned, i have a good rep and try to keep my customers happy. i post on many other sites and have completed over 15 transactions, some for multiple phones. if ur interested msg me, thx in advance

I already knew for a fact that Sprint will not activate any of these phones, and I don't understand why you make the claim they will. Just to reassure myself, I called Sprint myself and the rep that I spoke to researched the question for me, and came back to say Sprint will not activate any non-Sprint phone. He also said if you tamper with the phone to make it work on Sprint a lot of times the phone will have problems and roam or otherwise not work properly, no text or data services etc.

EDIT: Also, the phone you sold Chef was branded for the same carrier he uses.

For Verizon and Sprint customers, they will not activate phones that are not branded by them nor will they flash the phone with their software, if you manage to get the phone activated, it will not be an easy process.

i realize the phone i sold locally was with bell, i never said it wasnt. However, I called verizon myself and they said it wasnt a problem. I had someone activate it on verizon after i sold it to them. I never phoned sprint, but I had a customer who activated it on sprint. So i dont know why you guys are getting different answers than I am. BOTTOM LINE, ASK UR PROVIDER AND MAKE SURE U GET SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT. I am only having problems with u guys, no one is givin me this on other forums, and no one returned a phone yet... its all good if u ask me

You say of other forums not giving you problems, no one has replied to your post at Wireless Advisor so i know you haven't sold any handsets there, i'm also a member at Howard Forums, i don't even see a thread from you there, these forums you speak of, are they Canadian?

I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to give you a hard time but something made me suspicious about you and I'm glad I persisted. I've been searching forums all afternoon, including 2 or three canadian sites. I can only find you on a couple sites and you have no selling history at all. Your ebay feedback is all from sellers, except for one phone you sold to a fellow Canadian who probably activated it with Bell, and one auction for rc car parts, everything else is old feedback and I can't view the auctions.

When you said you've never had a problem at other sites, I'd like to know what sites you're talking about? Can you show us some selling history at all? I don't think I believe your story about the Verizon customer bc the guy that bought your v3c on ebay was in Nova Scotia. Show me some posts in other forums, because it looks to me like you appeared out of nowhere on 3 sites within the past 2 weeks. I don't think I'd buy anything from you until you could prove your reputation to me after what I've seen searching the net.

im still awaiting feedback from a few people on ebay, i sold alot of stuff off ebay. I will ask their permission and if they agree, i will forward you their information. I am even willing to tape a conversation with a verizon rep and upload it on the site for ppl to c that im not bullsh*ting. Im not here to scam anyone, and im not desperite to sell phones b/c alot of local people in the GTA are buying off me. I tell u straight up to phone ur provider and ask them. So i dont c wat the problem is. All pictures are taken by me and are the actual phones. Everything is 100% brand new never used.

I receieved a few emails regarding the headsets, never sold one <<< NEVER CLAIMED TO HAVE SOLD ONE (EVERYONE LOW BALLING ME) Plain and simple, if u dont like me, my product, or my service, dont hassel me, jus dont buy. Im not forcin no one. I offer paypal as a primary source so its all documented. I will even list on ebay for 10 dollars more to cover fee's. I DO NOT accept western union cuz im not a crook, im jus a kid tryin to pay for university.

Its one thing to be cautious, and another to be accusing people of something they are not. I am 100% legit, Im honest, and i even give refunds if something goes wrong cuz the guy i get them from takes them back (provided u didnt break them as soon as u got it).

PS. everything is sold but the E815!!! i will be getting more. if u want something, email me or PM me, dont post because i dont want this to happen again!

I accused you of trying to tell people Sprint would activate one of these phones when it's a fact they won't. Guilty as charged, see post #3! Beyond that, I have done nothing more than vocalize my suspicions, which over here in the USA we call free speech, and there's nothing wrong with that. I am simply urging people to be cautious when they buy one of your phones because they might have a hard time activating it or it might not work right.

PS, the Verizon rep I spoke to said when people activate tampered phones on their network, they get crappy service and roam a lot. I didn't say it was impossible, I said you're better off keeping your phones on your side of the border and not trying to mislead people into buying phones that are going to work like crap for them. I'm done with this thread, if anyone buys one of your phones after reading this conversation they have already been warned so good luck to you.

now ur jus being a jerk. im not trying to mislead anyone. i have no knowledge of the phones working like crap, they either work or they dont. from not working, to now working like crap. make up ur mind.

how about this, if ur from the USofA and like ur free speech, u can keep it and dont bother asking me for one of my phones. If you are with Bell Mobility, Alliant, (NOT TELUS, wont work) and are this side of the boarder, gimme a shout if u want a deal on a phone.

I want to firstly thank Tony E for allowing me the priviledge to participate on this forum. I also want to formally apologize for my previous comments. They were not necessary and completely uncalled for; especially toward Brad. Im sure everyone has had experiences with trying to activate foreign phones on American providers. I personally happen to know of some cases where it infact did happen. However, this doesnt excuse my reaction. I do realize that the moderators were just informing all of the member with the potential issues facing this topic. And they have every right to do so. I just forgot to mention it. (I assumed it goes without saying. However, I state it in EVERY one of my ebay auctions.)
