Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts:

If you have access to a computer with iTunes installed, you can use the software to sync your iPhone contacts to your Google account. Synced contacts include the contact's image, address, email and any additional details.

  1. Launch iTunes on your PC
  2. Use the proprietary USB cable to connect your iPhone to your computer
  3. Once connected, the iPhone will pop-up in iTunes
  4. Access the iPhone's summary page by clicking it
  5. Go to the "Info" tab and then mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  6. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  7. If you haven't done so before, enter your Google account and password. Otherwise, you can click "Configure" and select a previously added Google account
  8. To start syncing your contacts, click "Apply"
  9. On your Galaxy Trend Lite, log in with the same Google account as the one used in iTunes. NOTE: to add an account, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"
  10. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone

Using iCloud to Transfer iPhone Contacts:

iCloud is a great backup service for iOS users, which gives the option to transfer contacts from an iPhone to an Android device, through a VCF file. If you've used iCloud on your iPhone before, then your contacts have most likely been backed up. To use this method:

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer and visit https://www.icloud.com/
  2. Go to "Contacts"
  3. Select the contacts that you want to share
  4. Click the "Settings" button located in the bottom-left area
  5. Select "Export vCard" and your computer will begin downloading a VCF file containing the selected contacts
  6. Import the VCF file to "Google Contacts", or connect your Galaxy Trend Lite to your PC via USB and transfer the file in the "sdcard" directory. Then, open the "Contacts" application, tap "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "Import from SD card" > select an account and the VCF file

Using the "My Contacts Backup" Application:

Much like iCloud, the My Contacts Backup app gives you the option to export your iPhone contacts in the form of a VCF file. However, in order to use this method, you don't need access to a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store on your iPhone
  2. Download "My Contacts Backup"
  3. Once installed, open the app and then tap "Backup". This will create a VCF file containing your iPhone contacts
  4. Tap "Email" to attach the VCF file
  5. Type in your own Gmail address as the recipient for the email, and send it
  6. On your Galaxy device, open the email and download the VCF file
  7. Import the contacts from the vCard file using the "People" application

Using the "Bump" App to Transfer Contacts:

Last but not least, "Bump" is an Android and iOS application that uses cloud connectivity to transfer contacts from one smartphone to another. This means that you don't need Bluetooth, NFC, or access to a computer for this approach. All you need is an active Internet connection on both smartphones.

  1. Install "Bump" on your iPhone, from the App store
  2. Visit the Google Play Store on your Galaxy Trend Lite, and download the same app
  3. On the iPhone, swipe to the contacts section
  4. From the list of contacts, select those that you want to export to your Android device
  5. After the "Bump Now!" message appears, gently bump the devices together
  6. A "Connect" button should appear on both devices. Tap it and your iPhone contacts should now be shared with your Galaxy Trend Lite via cloud
