Contact Management
Adding a New Contact:
- Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
- Go to the "Contacts" tab
- Press the "+" button and select where you want to save the contact, such as "Device", "SIM" or "Google"
- Enter the contact's name in the "First name" field
- Type in / enter any additional details in their appropriate fields
- When you're done editing the contact, tap "Save". NOTE: to learn how to add a custom ringtone to a contact, visit this link
Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SD Card:
- Open the "Contacts" application
- Go to the "Contacts" tab
- Press the "Menu" button and select "Import / Export"
- Perform one of the following sets of steps:
- To copy contacts from the SD card to your device:
- Tap "Import from SD card"
- Select the location where you want to import the contacts, such as an account and tap "OK"
- Choose to "Import vCard file", "Import multiple vCard files" or "Import all vCard files"
- Tap "OK"
- If required, select the desired vCard file and tap "OK" to import its contents
- To copy contacts from the device to the SD card:
- Tap "Export to SD card"
- Press "OK" to confirm
- To copy contacts from the SD card to your device:
Importing / Exporting Contacts from the SIM Card:
- Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
- Go to the "Contacts" tab
- Press the "Menu" button and tap "Import / Export"
- Perform one of the following sets of steps:
- To copy contacts to the SIM card:
- Tap "Import to SIM card"
- Select the contacts that you want to copy, or tap "Select all"
- Tap "Done" > "OK"
- To copy contacts from the SIM card to the device:
- Tap "Import from SIM card"
- Select the location (account) where you want to save the contacts and tap "OK"
- Mark the check boxes next to the contacts that you wish to copy, or tap "Select all"
- Tap "Done"
- To copy contacts to the SIM card:
Adding a Contact to Speed Dial:
- Tap the "Phone" icon located on the home screen
- Tap the "Keypad" tab if necessary
- Press "Menu" and tap "Speed dial setting"
- Tap the dial number that you wish to assign
- Select the contact that you want to assign to the dial number
Deleting a Contact:
- Open the "Contacts" application
- Access the "Contacts" tab. NOTE: if you want to delete contacts from a specific list, such as "Google", press "Menu" > "Contacts to display" and choose the desired contact type / list
- Press "Menu" and tap "Delete"
- Mark the check boxes next to the contacts that you wish to remove. Optionally, tap "Select all"
- Tap "Delete" > "OK"
Contact Group Management
Creating a New Contact Group:
- Launch the "Contacts" app and swipe to the "Groups" tab
- Press "Menu" and tap "Create"
- Type in the name for the group
- Tap "Add member" and then mark the check box associated with the contact(s) that you want to add
- Tap "Done" > "Save"
Adding Contacts to a Group:
NOTE: you can add contacts to groups, only if the contacts are saved on the phone's memory or on a Google account
- Tap "Contacts" from the home screen
- Access the "Groups" tab
- Select the desired group
- Press the "+" icon. Alternatively, you can tap "Menu" > "Edit" > "Add member"
- Place a check mark next to the contacts that you wish to add. Optionally, tap "Select all"
- Tap "Done"
