    Transferring Audio Files to Use as Ringtones

    Transferring Audio Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Core LTE to your computer via USB
    2. From the home screen, swipe the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device (MTP)"
    3. In the AutoPlay window on your computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
    4. Open a new Windows Explorer window and navigate to where the desired audio files are stored on your computer
    5. Copy the files, and paste them on your smartphone's storage
    6. Once the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone

    Transferring Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: You can skip the first 2 steps if you already have Samsung Kies installed on your Mac.

    1. Navigate to Kies
    2. Click "Download for Mac OS", and follow the on-screen instructions to download and install Kies on your Mac
    3. Establish a connection between your smartphone and Mac via USB
    4. On the smartphone, drag the "Status" bar down and tap "Connected as a media device" > "Media device (MTP)"
    5. Open Kies on your Mac
    6. In Kies, click the "Folder" icon next to "External memory" or "Internal memory"
    7. In Kies, navigate to where you want to transfer the music files
    8. On the Mac, navigate to where the audio files are stored on the hard drive
    9. Drag and drop the desired files in Kies
    10. Once the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone from the Mac

    Preparing the Audio Files for Use as Ringtones and Notifications

    Adding Audio Files to the Ringtone List:

    1. Press the "Menu" button while viewing the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Go to the "My device" tab
    4. Tap "Sound" > "Ringtones" > "Add"
    5. Select either "Sound picker" or "Choose music track"
    6. Select to open "Always" or "Just once"
    7. Tap the desired audio file and tap "OK"

    Adding Audio Files to the Notification List:

    1. Tap the "Apps" icon while on the home screen
    2. Tap "My files" > "All files"
    3. Navigate to the audio files you've transferred for using as notification sounds
    4. Tap and hold the desired file, and select "Copy"
    5. Tap "Device storage"
    6. Open the "Notifications" folder
    7. Tap "Paste here"

    Setting Custom Ringtones and Notifications

    Changing Your Phone's Ringtone:

    1. Press the "Menu" key while viewing the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings" and go to the "My device" tab
    3. Tap "Sound" > "Ringtones"
    4. Select the desired ringtone and tap "OK"

    Setting a Custom Ringtone to a Specific Contact:

    NOTE: you can't assign custom ringtones for contacts that are stored on the phone's internal memory or the SIM card

    1. Tap the "Contacts" icon located on the home screen
    2. Select the desired contact
    3. Tap the "Edit" icon depicted as a pencil
    4. Tap "Ringtone"
    5. Select the desired audio file to use as a ringtone, and tap "OK"
    6. Tap "Save"

    Setting a Custom Notification Sound:

    1. Press the "Menu" button while on the home screen
    2. Tap "Settings"
    3. Touch the "My device" tab
    4. Tap "Sound" > "Notifications"
    5. Select the desired notification sound
    6. Tap "OK"
