Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts:

iTunes can be used to sync the contacts on your iPhone with a Google account. By doing so you can then easily transfer the contacts from the Google account over to the Galaxy S5 mini by syncing them. This method requires access to a computer with iTunes installed and an active Internet connection.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  3. After it connects, the iPhone will show up in iTunes. Click the iPhone to view its summary page
  4. Access the "Info" tab and mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  5. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  6. Enter your Google login details. Alternatively, click "Configure" and select an existing account from the list, assuming that you have added an account prior to following this guide
  7. Click "Apply" and wait for iTunes to sync the contacts
  8. After the contacts have been synced, switch over to the Galaxy S5 Mini and add the same Google account as the one used in iTunes. NOTE: go to "Settings" > "Accounts" if you need to add an account
  9. Set the Google account so that it can sync contacts with your SGS5 Mini

Transferring Contacts via iCloud:

As long as you have used the iCloud service before, the contacts saved on your iPhone should also be backed up on your iCloud account. By accessing your account through the Internet browser on your computer, you can export these backed up contacts for Android use, as a VCF file. To do so:

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in to your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts" and select the contacts that you wish to transfer to the SGS5 Mini
  4. Click the "Settings" icon depicting a cog wheel, and select "Export vCard"
  5. Wait for the VCF file to be downloaded to your PC
  6. After the file has been downloaded, import its contents to "Google Contacts", or connect the Galaxy S5 Mini to your computer and manually transfer the VCF file to the phone's "sdcard" directory. Next, open the "Contacts" app and press "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "Import from SD card"
