Home Screen Management
Enabling Easy Mode:
NOTE: "Easy Mode" enables you to change your smartphone's user interface so that it delivers a simpler layout with larger icons and a user friendlier home screen. The Easy Mode home screen can also be customized to contain favorite apps, contacts, frequently used apps etc. In order to enable this mode
- Tap "Apps" from the home screen
- Tap "Settings" and go to "Easy mode"
- Touch "Easy mode" and select the applications you wish to apply the layout on
- Tap "Done" in order to confirm
- To add shortcuts to the Easy Mode home screen, swipe to the left and touch the "+" panel
- In order to add contacts, scroll the home screen to the right and tap "Contacts"
- To delete shortcuts from the Easy mode home screen, press the "Menu" key and tap "Edit". Then, select an app or contact shortcut and tap the "-" (minus) button associated with it
Changing the Wallpaper:
- From the home screen, tap "Apps"
- Access the "Settings" menu and then tap "Wallpapers"
- Select the location where you wish to apply the wallpaper
- Tap the desired wallpaper
- To set a wallpaper from a different location such as the "Gallery", tap "More images"
- After you have picked the desired image to set as a wallpaper, tap "Done" or "Set wallpaper", depending on the location of the selected image
Creating Folders on the Home Screen:
- From the home screen, press and hold an app shortcut
- Drag the shortcut on top of the "Create folder" option
- Type in a name for the folder and tap "+" to add more shortcuts
- Tap "Done" when ready
Adding Items (Apps / Widgets) to the Home Screen:
- To add a widget to the home screen, tap and hold an empty space on the home screen and tap "Widgets". Then, tap and hold the widget that you wish to use, and drag it on top of the home screen
- To move an item to the home screen, tap and hold it and then drag it in the desired location
- To add shortcuts to the home screen, tap "Apps" and then tap > hold > drag > drop the desired app on top of the desired home screen
- If you wish to remove an item from the home screen, tap and hold it, and then drag > drop it above the "Remove" button
Managing the Home Screen Panels:
- If you wish to add more home screen, swipe left and tap "+"
- To remove a panel, enter preview mode and then drag the desired panel over the "Remove" area
- To move a home screen panel, tap and hold it and drag - drop it in the desired location
Managing the App Drawer
Changing the View Mode, Hiding / Showing Apps:
- From the home screen, tap "Apps"
- Press the "Menu" icon and then select "View as", and select the desired viewing mode
- Tap "Menu" > "Hide apps" to hide applications from the apps drawer
- Mark the check boxes next to the apps that you wish to hide and tap "Done"
- To make apps visible, press "Menu" in the apps drawer and then select "Show hidden apps"
- Select the apps that you wish to make visible
- Tap "Done" to confirm
Rearranging Shortcuts in the Apps Drawer:
- Open the apps drawer
- Press "Menu" > "Edit"
- To move a shortcut, tap and hold it and then drag > drop it
- To move a shortcut to a different app drawer panel, tap and hold it and then drag it near the edge of the screen
- To create a new app drawer panel, tap and hold an app and then drag > drop it on top of the "Create page" area
Creating App Drawer Folders:
- Open the apps drawer
- Press "Menu" and tap "Create folder"
- Enter the folder's name
- To add shortcuts to the folder, tap "+"
- When ready, tap "Done" to save the changes
