  7. Open the email client and start a new email
  8. Attach the vCard file to the email and send it to your own Gmail address
  9. Switch over to the Galaxy Grand Prime and open the email containing the attached VCF file
  10. Download the vCard file and open the "Contacts" application
  11. Press "Menu" and tap "Import / Export" > "import from SD card" or "Import from storage"
  12. If necessary, select an account and follow any additional steps to complete the process

NOTE: After you have created the vCard file on the Galaxy SIII, you can transfer it to the Grand Prime by connecting both smartphones to your computer via USB, and copy > pasting the file from one phone's storage to the other. Then, the file's contents can be imported via the "Contacts" app, as explained above

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: Last but not least you can use various third party applications such as "Send Anywhere" in order to transfer your contacts from one phone to another. Send Anywhere is an app that can send various types of files and contacts via a P2P connection.

  1. Visit the Google Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on both your smartphones
  2. Open the application on both devices
  3. On the Galaxy SIII, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  4. Mark the contacts you want to share and tap "Send"
  5. Lastly, select the desired method of transfer. Tapping "Generate QR Code" on the Galaxy SIII allows you to create a QR Code that can be scanned with the Grand Prime's camera to commence the transfer. Alternatively, you can tap "Receive" on the Prime, and enter the randomly generated transfer code from the SGSIII
