Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using a computer with access to the Internet and iTunes installed, you can sync the contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account. Once that's done, the contacts can be re-synced to the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

  1. Launch iTunes on your computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  3. The iPhone will appear in iTunes once connected. Click it to view the summary page
  4. Go to the "Info" tab and mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  5. From the drop-down list, select "Google Contacts"
  6. Sign in with the Google account you wish to use for syncing. Alternatively, if you have previously added an account you can click "Configure" and select one from the list
  7. Click "Apply" and the syncing process will begin
  8. Lastly, register the same Google account on the Note Edge, and allow it to sync contacts with your Android smartphone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: In case you have used the iCloud service on your iPhone before, then the contacts stored on your Apple phone should already be backed on onto your iCloud account. By accessing the account using a computer connected to the Internet, you can export these contacts in the form of a vCard file.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on your computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Go to the "Contacts" section and select the contacts you wish to export
  4. Click the "Settings" button
  5. Select "Export vCard" and the file will be downloaded on your computer
  6. Import the vCard file to "Google Contacts" or skip this step and instead:
  7. Connect the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge to your computer via USB and transfer the file to the phone's storage. Next, launch the "Contacts" app, go to the "Contacts" tab and press "Menu". Tap "Settings" > "Contacts" > "Import / Export" > "Import from SD card" or "Import from USB storage". Follow any on-screen steps to select and import the file

Using "My Contacts Backup":

NOTE: You can transfer the contacts from your iPhone over to the Note Edge without needing a computer. Using third party apps such as "My Contacts Backup", you can back up and export your contacts from your iPhone via email:

  1. Visit the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap "Backup"
  3. Once the backup file has been created, tap "Email"
  4. Compose a new email and make sure to attach the VCF file to it
  5. Send the email to your Gmail address
  6. On the Galaxy Note Edge, open the email and download the attached file
  7. Import the file using the "Contacts" application on the Edge, and the "Import" function from the menu

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: Last but not least, you can use "Send Anywhere" for transferring contacts. This is another third party app for iOS and Android that uses a P2P connection to transfer files and contacts cross-platform, without needing a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install "Send Anywhere" on your iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and download the app on your Samsung Galaxy Note Edge
  3. Launch the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Choose the contacts you wish to transfer
  6. Tap "Send" and select the desired transfer method. Tapping "Receive" on the Note Edge allows you to enter the transfer code that's randomly generated on the iPhone. You can also tap "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone, and scan the code with the Note Edge's camera to commence the transfer
