    Checking the Amount of SD Card Storage:

    1. While viewing the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Access "Settings" and swipe to "System"
    3. Tap "Storage"
    4. The "Available space" and "Total space" values are displayed under "SD card"

    Formatting the SD Card:

    WARNING! Formatting the SD card will remove all data stored on it, so if you don't wish to lose any data then you should first create backups. To format the SD Card:

    1. Open the apps drawer and launch the "Settings" menu
    2. Under "System", tap "Storage"
    3. Under "SD card", tap "Format SD card"
    4. Tap "Format SD card" again
    5. To confirm, tap "Delete all"

    Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card

    Deleting Files Using the Smartphone:

    1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen and launch "My Files"
    2. Scroll to "Local Storage" and tap "SD card"
    3. Tap "SD memory card" and press the "Menu" icon
    4. Tap "Select" and mark the check boxes associated with the items you wish to remove
    5. Tap "Delete" > "OK"

    Open or Delete Files on the SD Card via a Windows PC:

    1. Use the USB cable to connect the Samsung Galaxy A5 to your computer
    2. From the notification area on the phone, tap "Media Device (MTP)"
    3. An AutoPlay window should appear on the computer. From there, click "Open folder to view files"
    4. Double-click the "Removable Disk" folder associated with the SD card
    5. Double-click a file to open it, or remove it by deleting it as you would normally delete files on your computer
    6. Once the process is done, click the "Mass Storage Device" icon located in the system tray and eject your phone's storage
    7. You can now safely disconnect your smartphone from the PC

    Opening or Deleting Files on the SD Card using a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac computer

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac and visit Kies
    2. Click "Download for Mac OS"
    3. Follow the on-screen instructions to install Kies on the Mac
    4. Connect the Samsung Galaxy A5 to your computer via USB and make sure the "Media Device (MTP)" option from the Notification area is checked
    5. Launch Kies on the Mac and check if your phone is listed under "Connected Devices"
    6. From within Kies, click the "Folder" icon associated with "External memory"
    7. Locate the files you want to open or delete
    8. To open a file, double-click it. To remove an item, mark the check box associated with it and then click the "Trash can" icon. Click "OK" to confirm
    9. Once the process is done, eject the phone's storage from the Mac's desktop and safely disconnect your phone

    File Transfer

    Transfer Files Between a Windows PC and SD Card:

    1. Connect the SGA5 to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the "Notification" bar down and mark the "Media Device (MTP)" check box if necessary
    3. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, click "Open folder to view files" > "OK"
    4. Access the "Removable Disk" directory
    5. Perform the desired file transfer between the SD card and computer
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone's USB storage and safely disconnect the smartphone from the computer

    Transfer Files From a Mac to the SD Card:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Samsung Galaxy A5 and your Mac
    2. Launch Kies on the Mac and click the "Folder" icon associated with "External memory"
    3. Using the file explorer on the Mac, locate the files you wish to transfer to your phone
    4. Drag the files and drop them in the "External memory" section within Kies
    5. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone's storage and safely disconnect the smartphone

    Transfer Files from the Internal to External (SD) Memory:

    1. On your smartphone, launch the "My Files" application
    2. Access "Local Storage" and tap "Device storage"
    3. Locate the files you wish to transfer from the internal memory, and mark the check boxes associated with them
    4. Press "Menu" and select to "Copy" (or "Move" if you wish to avoid duplicating the files)
    5. Tap "SD memory card" and go to the desired target location
    6. Tap "Paste here" or "Move here"

    Transfer Files from the External (SD) to Internal Memory:

    1. Open the "My Files" app
    2. Go to "Local Storage" and tap "SD Card" > "SD memory card"
    3. Locate the files you wish to transfer and mark the check boxes next to them
    4. Press "Menu" and choose to "Move" or "Copy" the selected files
    5. Tap "Device storage" and access the desired target directory on the internal memory
    6. Once there, tap "Move here" / "Paste here"

    A5 dose not recognize an external USB drive plugged to it via the power charging outlet. . Why? Any solution.

    in my Samsung galaxy a5 there is a problem, no any video store in dives/phone
    whats the problem & trick to solve this
