Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on your computer in order to sync the contacts stored on your iPhone with a Google account. Then, you can re-sync the contacts from the account with your Android device, in this case the Samsung Galaxy Grand Max. The PC running iTunes must be connected to the Internet.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Establish a USB connection between your iPhone and computer
  3. Once it connects, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click it
  4. From the phone's summary page, access the "Info" tab
  5. Mark the check box associated with "Sync Contacts With"
  6. Select "Google Contacts" from the drop-down menu
  7. Register the Google account you want to sync. If you have added an account in iTunes before, you can click "Configure" and select it
  8. To start the sync, click "Apply"
  9. Once the process is done, sign in with your Google account on the Galaxy Grand Max and allow it to sync contacts with your phone

Using iCloud:

NOTE: In case you have used the iCloud service on your iPhone before, then your contacts should be backed up on your iCloud account. Using a computer connected to the Internet you can access your iCloud account and export the contacts as a vCard file. The file can then be transferred and imported on the Samsung smartphone.

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer and visit https://www.icloud.com/
  2. Sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts" and mark the contacts you want to share
  4. Click "Settings" > "Export vCard" and wait for the VCF file to be downloaded on your computer
  5. Once the file is downloaded, import it to "Google Contacts". Alternatively, skip this step and perform the next one instead:
  6. Connect the Galaxy Grand Max to your computer via USB and copy the VCF file to the phone's storage. Then, open the "Contacts" application, press "Menu" > "Settings" > "Contacts" > "Import / Export" and follow any self-explanatory steps that follow

Using "My Contacts Backup":

NOTE: In case you're looking for methods of contact transfer without needing a computer, then you can install 3rd party apps like "My Contacts Backup". This, for instance, is an iOS app that allows iPhone users to back up and share their contacts via email. To do so:

  1. From the App Store, install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap "Backup"
  3. After the backup file is created, tap "Email"
  4. Compose a new email and attach the VCF file to it
  5. Send the email to your own Gmail address
  6. On the Samsung Galaxy Grand Max, open the email and download the attached vCard file
  7. Launch the "Contacts" app and use the "Import" option to add the VCF file's contents to your phonebook

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: Another 3rd party app that can be used for contact transfer is Send Anywhere. The app is available on both iOS and Android, and can be used for transferring various types of files and contacts cross-platform via a P2P connection, without using a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install "Send Anywhere" on your iPhone
  2. Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung smartphone
  3. Open the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Mark the contacts you wish to share and tap "Send"
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method. Tapping "Generate QR Code" on the iPhone allows you to commence the transfer after scanning the code with the Grand Max's camera. Alternatively, you can tap "Receive" on the Samsung device and then enter the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone
