Enable Power Saving Mode:

  1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Under "System" tap "Power saving "> "Power saving mode"
  4. Turn the power saving switch "ON"
  5. To customize how power saving works, you can enable / disable "block background data", "restrict performance" etc.

Adjust the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Tap "Apps" > "Settings"
  2. Tap "Display" under "Quick Settings"
  3. Tap "Brightness" and disable "Automatic brightness" if necessary
  4. Drag the brightness slider to the left and tap "OK"
  5. Tap "Screen timeout" and select a lower value

Disable Wi-Fi, HotSpot, Bluetooth & GPS:

NOTE: You can gain more battery life from your phone if you disable connectivity whenever it's not in use. This applies to Wi-Fi, HotSpot, GPS and Bluetooth

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Under "Network Connections" tap "Tethering & Mobile Hotspot"
  4. Disable "Mobile Hotspot" and return to the home screen
  5. Swipe the "Notification" bar down
  6. Tap the quick toggles associated with "Bluetooth", "Wi-Fi" and "Location" to disable these features

Change Sync Settings for Apps:

NOTE: Setting your apps to sync less data or less frequently can improve your phone's battery performance

  1. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "User and Backup"
  2. Tap "Accounts"
  3. Access the "Accounts" tab and select the type of account to adjust settings for
  4. Tap the "user name" or "email address" at the top of the screen for more sync settings

Disable Background Data:

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Swipe to "Network Connections"
  4. Tap "Data usage" and press "Menu"
  5. Mark the check box next to "Restrict background data"

Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:

NOTE: Some third party apps can affect your phone's battery performance even when they are not running. This can happen when apps run processes in the background. To disable or remove 3rd party apps:

  1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
  2. Swipe to "Applications" and tap "Application manager"
  3. Go to the "Downloaded" tab
  4. Select an app and tap "Disable"
  5. To completely remove the app, tap "Uninstall"

Switch from 4G to 2G Connectivity:

  1. Go to the phone's "Settings" menu and swipe to "Network Connections"
  2. Tap "More networks" > "Mobile networks"
  3. Tap "Network mode"
  4. Select "GSM only" to restrict 4G
  5. To re-enable 4G, select either "LTE / WCDMA / GSM (auto connect)" or "WCDMA / GSM (auto connect)"

Keep Your Phone Updated:

NOTE: Certain software updates can include improvements to power management and battery life. It's recommended to keep your phone up to date. To check for updates:

  1. Tap "Apps"
  2. Access "Settings"
  3. Swipe to "System" and tap "About device"
  4. Tap "Software update"
  5. If an update is available follow the on-screen instructions to apply it
