Method 1 - Using Hardware Buttons:

  1. To take a screenshot using hardware keys, first navigate to the desired screen
  2. Press and hold the “Power” and “Home” buttons at the same time (you’ll know when the screenshot has been captured when the screen flashes and the camera shutter sound goes off)

Method 2 – Using Gestures:

NOTE: This is a newer method of screenshot capturing and can be used on most Samsung smartphones running newer software. First make sure your phone supports the option by performing the following:

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Swipe to “Motion” and tap “Motions and gestures
  3. Palm swipe to capture” should be available. Enable the feature if it is. If not, use method 1 above

  1. To capture a screenshot using gestures, first go to the desired screen
  2. Swipe your hand across the screen, from the left hand side edge of the screen to the right (or the other way around). You need to swipe using the edge of your palm opposing your thumb
  3. When the screen flashes and the camera shutter sound goes off, the screen has been captured

NOTE: Your screenshots can be found in the “Gallery” application
