Back Up Application Data:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Under “User and Backup” tap “Backup and reset”
  4. To back up account data, you need to be signed in with your Google account. If necessary, tap “Backup account” > “Add account”
  5. Enable “Backup my data” and “Backup account”

Back Up Contacts on a Samsung or Google Account:

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
  3. Tap “Move device contacts to” and if necessary, select your Samsung or Google account
  4. Go back to the home screen
  5. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  6. Tap “Accounts”
  7. Select an account to sync contacts with
  8. Tap “More” > “Sync now”

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the On7 and computer
  2. On the home screen, drag the “Status” bar down
  3. Make sure “Media device (MTP)” is turned on
  4. Open an Explorer window on the computer
  5. Locate the media files on the smartphone and copy them
  6. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
  7. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector

Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac, skip the first 3 steps and proceed with the 4th.

  1. Open the Internet browser on your Mac
  2. Visit Kies Support
  3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” and install Kies on the computer
  4. Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy On7 and Mac
  5. Drag the “notification” bar down and ensure the phone is connected as a “Media device (MTP)”
  6. Launch Kies on the Mac and click “Back up / restore”
  7. Click the “Backup”
  8. Tick the boxes associated with “Music”, “Photos" and other types of media files you wish to back up
  9. Click “Backup” and wait for the process to complete
  10. Once done, drag the phone’s virtual drive into the “Eject / Trash can” icon
  11. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector
