Via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts of your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data with the Galaxy J3, as detailed below:

  1. Launch iTunes on the PC
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  3. After it connects, click the iPhone in iTunes to view the device’s summary
  4. Access the “Info” tab and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. Select “Google Contacts” in the drop-down menu
  6. Log in with your Google account, or alternatively click “Configure” and select an existing one if available
  7. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  8. After the sync is complete, register the same Google account on the Galaxy J3 and allow it to sync contacts with your phone

Via iCloud:

NOTE: If you’ve used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone in the past, the contacts on your iPhone should already be backed up on your iCloud account. You can access the account on a computer with an Internet connection, and export the contacts for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Click “Contacts” and select the contacts you wish to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the file is downloaded on the computer, import it to “Google Contacts”
  7. Alternatively, skip the step above and instead connect the Galaxy J3 to your PC via USB, transfer the vCard file to its storage, and import the file’s contents to your phonebook using the “Contacts” app

Via My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although both methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can rely on third party applications to get the job done. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup”
  3. Once the backup file is done, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email containing the vCard backup file as an attachment
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. Switch to the Galaxy J3, open the email, and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard using the “Contacts” app

Via Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on both iOS and Android. The app uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts and other types of files from one phone to another without needing a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Galaxy J3 from the Google Play Store
  3. Open the app on both handsets
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method. Example: you can tap “Receive” on the Galaxy J3 and enter the transfer code from the iPhone, or tap “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the J3 camera to start the transfer
