Clear App Cache / Data:

NOTE: if one of your applications doesn’t work properly or occupies too much storage, you might be able to fix the issues by clearing the app’s cache or data.

WARNING! Clearing an app’s data will delete all personal information stored within the app, including credit card and login information, profiles, high scores, saved games etc. In order to avoid losing your data, you should first try clearing the app’s cache.

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings

Wipe the Cache Partition:

NOTE: In case your phone crashes, freezes, or doesn’t work as intended, you might be able to fix these issues by clearing the cache partition. Unlike a factory reset, wiping the cache partition does not remove any of your personal data stored on the internal memory.

  1. First, turn off the phone
  2. Press and hold “Power”, “Volume Up”, and “Home” at the same time
  3. When the “Samsung” logo appears, release “Power
  4. At the “Android” logo, release all hardware buttons
  5. You should now have access to the “Android system recovery” menu
  6. From here, press “Volume down” repeatedly to highlight “Wipe cache partition
  7. Press “Power” to select the highlighted option
  8. Once the cache partition is wiped, “Reboot system now” should be highlighted
  9. Press “Power

NOTE: If clearing the cache didn’t help, you can visit this thread for instructions on how you can factory reset the Galaxy A3.

  2. Next, press and hold “Power
  3. At the “Samsung” logo, release “Power” and immediately press & hold “Volume Down
