How-to: Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016): Block Calls & Messages; Forward Calls

Block Calls:

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
3. Tap “Call rejection”
4. Tap “Auto reject list” and perform one of the following sets of steps:
   
   • To block a call log entry: Open “Contacts”, go to “Contacts” or “Logs” and select the phone number to block
   • To block a phone number: enter it and make sure “Exactly the same as” is selected
   • To block unknown callers: enable “Unknown”

Unblock Calls:

1. Tap “Phone” on the home screen
2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
3. Tap “Call rejection”
4. Go to “Auto reject list”
5. Tap the “-“ symbol next to the phone number you want to unblock

Block / Unblock Messages:

NOTE: You can block messages from a conversation thread by performing the following:

1. Open “Messages”
2. Tap and hold the conversation thread exchanged between you and the number you want to block
3. Tap “Add to spam numbers”
4. You can unblock messages by following the same steps above, and selecting “Remove from spam” instead

Block / Unblock Messages via Settings:

1. Open “Messages”
2. Tap “More”
3. Go to the app’s “Settings” menu
4. Enable “Spam filter” and tap “Manage spam numbers”
5. Enter the phone number you want to block messages from, or tap “+” and select “Inbox” or “Contacts”
6. Tap “Back” to confirm and save the changes
7. To unblock messages, follow the 4 steps above and then tap the “-“ symbol next to the contact you want to unblock

Forward Calls:

1. Tap “Phone” on the home screen
2. Tap “More” and go to “Settings”
3. Tap “More settings” > “Call forwarding”
4. Select “Always forward” and enter the phone number to forward incoming calls to
5. Tap “Turn on”

Forward Calls (Conditional Forwarding):

1. Open “Phone”
2. Tap “More” > “Settings”
3. Tap “More settings” > “Call forwarding”
4. Select to “Forward when busy”, “Forward when unanswered” or “Forward when unreachable”
5. Enter the phone number you want to forward calls to
6. Tap “Update” / “Turn on”

Disable Call Forwarding:

1. Launch “Phone” and tap “More”
2. Go to “Settings” > “More settings”
3. Tap “Call forwarding”
4. Select the forwarding option you want to disable
5. Tap “Turn off”
