Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Galaxy On5 Pro to your computer via USB
- When prompted, turn on “Media device (MTP)” or “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the desired audio files on the computer and copy them
- Paste the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Notification” / “Ringtones” folder(s)
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the USB
Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:
NOTE: Skip the first 3 steps if Samsung Kies is installed on the Mac.
- Open the Internet browser on your Mac
- Visit Kies Support and click “Kies 3 for Mac”
- Follow the on-screen prompts to download and install Kies on the Mac
- Connect the Samsung device to your Mac via USB
- At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
- Open Kies on the Mac and click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal memory” or “External memory”
- Launch the File Finder on the Mac and locate the desired audio files
- Drag the files and drop them inside Kies to begin the transfer
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage by dragging its virtual drive from the desktop, and dropping it into the “Trash can”
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Add Audio Files to the Ringtone List:
- Launch “Settings” and scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Sounds and notifications”
- Tap “Ringtones and sounds”
- Tap “Ringtone” > “Add ringtone”
- Select “Sound picker”
- Choose “Always” or “Just once” and select the audio files you want to add
- Tap “Done”
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds & notifications”
- Tap “Ringtones & sounds” under “Sound”
- Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
- Press “Back” to apply the changes
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts stored on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.
- Launch “Contacts”
- Select the desired contact
- Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone”
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap “OK” > “Save”
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds & notifications”
- Under “Sounds”, tap “Ringtones and sound”
- Select a notification type and a notification to use
- Press “Back” to apply the changes
