Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB
  2. Turn “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the audio files on the PC storage
  4. Copy and transfer the desired audio files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones”, “Notifications” and/or “Media” folder(s)
  5. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, you should skip the first 3 steps below.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac
  2. Visit Kies Support
  3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” to download and install Kies on the Mac
  4. Connect the Samsung phone to your Mac via USB
  5. Turn ON “Media device” / “File Transfer” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  6. Launch Kies on the Mac
  7. Inside Kies, click the “Folder” icon associated with “External memory” or “Internal memory
  8. Open the File Explorer and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
  9. Drag the audio files and drop them inside Kies to begin the transfer
  10. Once done, drag the phone storage from the desktop and drop it into the “Trash can” to eject
  11. You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Change the Phone’s General Ringtone:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Go to “Settings
  3. Scroll to “Sound and Display” and tap “Sound and notifications
  4. Tap “Ringtones
  5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Scroll to “Sound and Display
  3. Tap “Sounds and notifications
  4. Tap “Notifications” and select the desired notification sound
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm
