Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can share the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Samsung device.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your PC using the Lightning cable
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info
  4. Turn ON “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. After the sync is complete, switch to the Samsung device and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Then, click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  6. Wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the computer
  7. After the file is downloaded, follow one of these steps:
    • Use the Internet browser on the computer to import the vCard to “Google contacts”, or:
    • Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can use third party apps to share your iPhone contacts without the use of a computer. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
  3. After the backup file is done, tap “Email
  4. Compose a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Samsung device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use for transferring contacts is Send Anywhere. The application uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring a PC.

  1. Open the App Store
  2. Install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  3. Visit the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Samsung device
  4. Open the app on both smartphones
  5. Tap “Send” > “Contacts” on the iPhone
  6. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send
  7. Lastly, choose the desired transfer method, such as “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone or “Receive” on the Samsung phone
  8. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the contact transfer
