Restore Contacts from an SD Card:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Scroll to “Device
  3. Tap “Applications” > “Contacts
  4. Select “Import / Export contacts” > “Import
  5. Tap “SD Card” and choose to import a single or multiple vCard files
  6. If needed, select the vCard you want to restore
  7. Lastly, select to restore contacts on your “Device storage” or to sync them with your Google account

Restore Contacts from a Google Account:

  1. Launch “Settings
  2. Under “User and Backup”, tap “Accounts
  3. Access “Google
  4. Select your email address or username at the top
  5. Make sure “Contacts” is checked
  6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now

Restore Media Files from an SD Card:

  1. Launch “My Files
  2. Scroll to “Local storage
  3. Tap “SD Card” > “More” > “Edit
  4. Tick the boxes associated with the media files you want to restore
  5. Tap “More” > “Move” > “Devices storage
  6. Navigate to and elect the desired target folder, or tap “Create folder
  7. Tap “Move here” to confirm

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files backed up on the PC
  4. Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
  5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

  1. Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch Kies on the Mac
  4. Go to “Back up / restore” and tap the “Restore” tab
  5. Tick the boxes associated with “Photos”, “Music” and other media file types you want to restore. Alternatively, you can click “Select all
  6. Click “Restore” and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
  7. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage by dragging and dropping its virtual hard drive from the desktop and into the “Trash can
  8. You can now safely disconnect the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro from the USB port
