Restore Contacts from an SD Card:
- Open “Settings”
- Scroll to “Device”
- Tap “Applications” > “Contacts”
- Select “Import / Export contacts” > “Import”
- Tap “SD Card” and choose to import a single or multiple vCard files
- If needed, select the vCard you want to restore
- Lastly, select to restore contacts on your “Device storage” or to sync them with your Google account
Restore Contacts from a Google Account:
- Launch “Settings”
- Under “User and Backup”, tap “Accounts”
- Access “Google”
- Select your email address or username at the top
- Make sure “Contacts” is checked
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”
Restore Media Files from an SD Card:
- Launch “My Files”
- Scroll to “Local storage”
- Tap “SD Card” > “More” > “Edit”
- Tick the boxes associated with the media files you want to restore
- Tap “More” > “Move” > “Devices storage”
- Navigate to and elect the desired target folder, or tap “Create folder”
- Tap “Move here” to confirm
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the media files backed up on the PC
- Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) they originate from
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:
- Connect the Samsung device to your computer via USB
- Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
- Launch Kies on the Mac
- Go to “Back up / restore” and tap the “Restore” tab
- Tick the boxes associated with “Photos”, “Music” and other media file types you want to restore. Alternatively, you can click “Select all”
- Click “Restore” and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage by dragging and dropping its virtual hard drive from the desktop and into the “Trash can”
- You can now safely disconnect the Samsung Galaxy C5 Pro from the USB port
