Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, then you can sync the account data – including contacts – with the Android phone.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- In iTunes, click the iPhone and access “Info”
- Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to begin the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Access “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- After the vCard is downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone from the App Store
- Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Then, send the vCard to your own email address as an attachment
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another iOS and Android third-party app you can use to transfer contacts over a peer-to-peer connection, without requiring computer access.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone via the App Store
- Install the same app on the Android device from the Play Store
- Launch the app on both phones
- On the sender device, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Then select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
- Finally select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
