Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access in order to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data and contacts with the Android phone.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- In iTunes, click the iPhone and access “Info”
- Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to star the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com
- Log in with your iCloud account
- Go to “Contacts”
- Select the contacts you want to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
- Once the vCard is downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts via third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone via the App Store
- Open the app and create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
- Once the vCard is created, send it to your own email address as an attachment
- On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another Android and iOS third-party app you can use to share your iPhone contacts over a peer-2-peer connection without requiring access to a computer.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone via the App Store
- Go to the Play Store and install the app on the Android phone
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
- Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
- Finally select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
