How-to: Samsung Galaxy J8: Create and Manage Contacts, Caller Groups, and Speed Dialing

Create a Contact:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “+” and select to store the contact on “SIM” “Phone” or to sync it with “Google”
3. Enter the contact’s name, phone number, and optional details in the appropriate fields
4. Tap “Done”

Import/Export Contacts:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
3. Go to “Manage contacts” > “Move contacts from phone…”
4. Select an account for contact syncing
5. Tap “Move” > “Import/Export contacts”
6. Follow one of the steps below:
   
   • To import contacts: tap “Import” > “SD Card” then select the desire contacts and tap “internal storage” > “Done” > “Import” > “OK”
   • To export contacts: tap “Export” > “SD Card” and select the desired contacts, then tap “Done” > “Export” > “OK”

Add Contacts to Speed Dial:

1. Launch “Phone”
2. Access “Contacts”
3. Tap “Menu” > “Speed dial”
4. Tap a dial pad number
5. Tap the contact you want to associate with the dial pad number

Delete Contacts:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Select the contact you want to remove
3. Tap “Menu”
4. Press “Delete” two times to confirm

Create a New Caller Group:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu”
3. Go to “Groups” and tap “Create”
4. Enter the desired name for the group
5. Optionally, select a group ringtone and tap “Save”

Add Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Select the contact you want to add to a caller group
3. Tap “Details” > “Edit” > “Group”
4. Tick the check boxes linked with the desired caller group
5. Tap “Back” > “Save”
