Reset Network Settings:

NOTE: When you reset network settings, all your saved Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connections will be removed, and data restrictive settings, background sync settings, and network selection mode will be restored to factory values.

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Go to “General management
  3. Tap “Reset” > “Reset network settings
  4. In case the device is protected by a lock screen, enter your password/PIN
  5. Tap “Reset settings

Factory Reset

WARNING! When you factory reset your device, all your personal data located on the phone’s internal memory will be deleted, including contacts, media files and ringtones, downloaded content, apps etc. In addition, all settings will be restored to factory values. However, data located on the SIM and SD cards won’t be affected.

NOTE: Before you reset the device, you can check this thread for a guide on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files, and this thread for instructions on restoring data.

Hard Reset via Settings:

  1. Open “Settings” and access “Sound and Accounts
  2. Tap “Backup and restore
  3. Optionally, turn “Back up my data” and “Restore” ON or OFF
  4. Go to “Settings” > “General management
  5. Tap “Reset” > “Factory data reset
  6. Tap “Reset device
  7. If your phone is protected by a lock screen, enter your PIN/password and tap ‘Continue
  8. When ready, tap “Delete all

Hard Reset via Android Recovery:

NOTE: If your device prevents you from resetting it using the method above, alternatively you can reset the device from Android Recovery.

  1. First ensure the phone is powered off
  2. Press and hold “Home” “Power” and “Volume Up” simultaneously
  3. At the Android screen, release the keys and wait for the Recovery menu
  4. Press “Volume down” to navigate the menu and highlight “Wipe data/factory reset
  5. Press “Power” to select the highlighted option
  6. Then, highlight “Yes – delete all user data” and press “Power
  7. Once the process completes, make sure “Reboot system now” is highlighted and press “Power
