Reset Network Settings:

NOTE: By resetting network settings, your saved Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections will be deleted, while data restrictive settings, network selection mode, and background sync settings will be restored to factory values.

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Go to “General Management
  3. Tap “Reset” > “Reset network settings
  4. If the device is protected by a lock screen, enter your PIN/password to proceed
  5. Tap “Reset settings

Factory Reset

WARNING! When you factory reset your device, all your personal data stored on the phone’s internal memory will be deleted, including media files, contacts, ringtones, apps, downloaded content etc. Furthermore, all settings will be restored to factory values. Data located on the SIM and SD cards won’t be affected.

NOTE: Before you reset the device, you can check this thread for a guide on how to back up app data, contacts, and media files, and this thread for instructions on restoring data.

Reset via Settings:

  1. Open “Settings
  2. Access” Sound and Accounts
  3. Tap “Backup and restore
  4. Optionally, turn “Back up my data” and “Restore” ON or OFF
  5. Go to “Settings” > “General management
  6. Tap “Reset” > “Factory data reset
  7. Tap “Reset device
  8. If the phone is protected by a lock screen, enter the password/PIN and tap “Continue
  9. Tap “Delete all” to confirm

Factory Reset via Android Recovery:

NOTE: If your device prevents you from resetting it via Settings, alternatively you can try resetting the device from Android Recovery.

  1. Make sure the phone is powered off
  2. Press and hold “Power” “Home” and “Volume Up” at the same time
  3. On the Android screen, release the buttons and wait for access to Recovery
  4. Once in Recovery, press “Volume down” repeatedly to navigate the menu and highlight “Wipe data/factory reset
  5. Press “Power” to select the highlighted option
  6. Highlight “Yes – delete all user data
  7. Press “Power
  8. Once the process is done, make sure “Reboot system now” is highlighted and press “Power
