    NOTE: You can check this thread for instructions on how to back up media files, app data, and contacts on the phone.

    Restore Contacts from SD Storage:

    1. Launch “Contacts
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings
    3. Go to “Contacts to display” and select “All contacts
    4. Tap “Import/Export contacts
    5. Tap “Import from SD card” > “OK

    Restore Media Files from SD Storage:

    1. Open “My Files” and navigate to “SD Card
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Edit
    3. Tick the boxes next to the media files you want to restore
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Move” > “Internal storage
    5. Tap “Move here” > “Create folder
    6. Select the desired folder
    7. Tap “Move here

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Android device to the PC via USB
    2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” on the phone, when prompted or from the Notification area
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders from where they originate
    5. Once done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

    Restore Media Files from a Mac:

    1. Connect the Android device to the Mac via USB
    2. Enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” on the phone, at the prompt or from the Notification shade
    3. Launch Kies on the Mac and go to the “Back up / Restore” tab
    4. Go to “Restore” and tick the boxes associated with the media files you want to restore
    5. After the process completes, eject the phone storage by dragging the virtual storage drive from the desktop and dropping it into the “Trash can
    6. You can safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    If you deleted or lost the contacts and media files on your Samsung Galaxy Note 9 without backup, no doubt that the easy way is using android data recovery software. With its help, the deleted or lost contacts and media files can be easily recovered.
