Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data and contacts with the Android phone.
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and enable “Sync Contacts With”
- Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
- Click “Apply” to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account
- Go to “Contacts” and select the desired contacts
- Click “Settings” > “Export vCard” and follow one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: The methods above require a computer with Internet access but you can also share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps like My Contacts Backup for iOS. The app can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Install the app on the iPhone from the App Store
- Launch the app and create a vCard
- Compose an email and attach the vCard
- Send the vCard to your own address
- Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard
- Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer to peer connection to share contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring computer access.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone from the App Store
- Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap “Send” and select the desired contacts
- Tap “Send” again and select a transfer method
- Follow the prompts to complete the process
