Back Up App Data:
- Open “Settings”
- Go to “Cloud and account”
- Tap “Backup & Restore”
- Enable “Back up my data” to back up app data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your backup account
- Enable “Automatic Restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically the next time you log in with the backup account or when reinstalling apps
Back Up Contacts:
- Launch “Contacts”
- Access “Cloud and account”
- Tap “Accounts” and select the desired backup account
- Enable “Contacts”
- Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”
Back Up Contacts to SD Storage:
- Open “Contacts” and tap “Menu”
- Go to “Settings” and switch to “All contacts”
- Tap “Import/Export” > “Export to SD”
- Tap “OK”
Back Up Media Files to Phone Storage:
- Open “My Files”
- Go to “Internal storage”
- Tap “Menu” > “Share”
- Select the desired contacts
- Tap “Share” and select the desired backup location
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the Android phone to the PC via USB
- Enable “File Transfer” / ‘Media device” on the phone, when prompted or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media files on the phone
- Copy and paste the files to the desired backup location on the PC
- Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
