Restore Contacts from SD Storage:
- Open “Contacts”
- Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
- Tap “Contacts to display” and select “All contacts”
- Tap “Import/Export contacts” > “Import from SD card”
- Tap “OK” to confirm
Restore Media Files from SD Storage:
- Open “My Files”
- Tap “SD Card” > “Menu”
- Tap “Edit” and tick the boxes next to the media files you want to restore
- Tap “Menu” > “Move” > “Internal storage” > “Move here”
- Tap “Create folder” or select the desired folder
- Tap “Move here”
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the computer and phone
- On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media backup files on the computer
- Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
- Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Personallly, I prefer to backup up important files to computer in case of data losing. But if you haven't done that before, Samsung data recovery could be an option to help you extract data from internal storage. This tool requires user to root the phone.
