you can get it here or here. i found these on here. just make sure you get the samsung oem cable (part # pcb093lbe) if you get it from elsewhere. seems that a lot of people are having trouble with non-oem cables. you'll pay a little more for oem but worth every penny. and this cable works for v200/v205, s200, s300, s306, s307, e715, & x427. you can use this cable for either flashing or uploading ringtones & wallpaper.

    Does E715 not have iR.
You could buy an ir-usb thing and use it. Would be good and you can use it for other purposes also, ie Nokia, Palm etc.

    Go for IR

flashing your phone is like updating your operating system on your pc. most manufacturers usually have updates available. it's definitely not for beginners or people who are afraid to mess with their phone. it's really not that difficult to flash your phone. just follow the directions carefully and everything will be alright. firmware updates usually fix bugs or add some new features. if you have any questions, feel free to post here or PM me. hope that helped.

And you don't need to be a Geek to flash your phone either.
