well first of all i dont hate samsung or something
i actually like their phones (ve been using their phones for few yrs till now)anyways

ok first of all, i dont understand why Samsung gives sucky phones for North American CDMA phones compared to GSM phones in europe. seriously.

for example..im using Samsung SCH-A600 for Telus (canadian) and it looks the same as SGH-P400(GSM), but way suckier. i mean it. the price was pretty high, and its even worse than the one i had back in europe (SGH-S300M). many reasons..here goes:

    1. The ringtones suck as hell....16 tone only for this much $$$? stupid...and there are only 20 pre-installed ringtones whereas i had 45 in my previous samsung with 40 tone.

    2. no way to transfer anything to/from pc. stupid. everytime i want to transfer the pictures taken with this, i have to e-mail myself by picture messaging, wastin my both time and money.
    stupid aint it?
    (also no IrDA, obviously)

    3. no way to change the service light pattern..similar p400 and v200 have more than 5 patterns to choose from.

    4. no pre-installed games...samsung's GSM phones have at least 2 to 3 pre-installed games.

    5. only one background picutre..stupid..i had more than 10 with my s300m

Seriously, i dont understand why its like this.
Is it because Samsung is doin pretty well in CDMA market, but behind Nokia and Motorola in GSM market? that they have to make goood phones for GSM market to catch nokia,,,and they can just continue sellin their sucky phones with outdated functions for CDMA market comfortably cauz they're leading it...

Any samsung experts, please? i wanna know

It's who samsung is making the phone for. Such as the TMobile phones they leave out or lock out features on purpose. Giving you less tones and options with the computer means you have to get ringtones from Telus's site and sending pics also cost you money. Telus makes money off this stuff.
