    Hi

Yes, Samsung cell phones usually play MMF ringtone format, which means you can have truetones on your phone. Check out my site for a whole list of free ringtone websites. There are a few listing MMF ringtones. If you have a data cable, things would be very easy, you just download the ringers and upload via Easy Studio software. Else you'd probably use WAP to download the free MMF ringtones.

i use cool mp3splitter to cut the part of an mp3 that i want, then i convert to wav (mono, 40kbps) and then use yamaha wav-to-mmf convertor. it's seems like a tedious process but always works great for me.

since i've upgraded to the D500 and MPx200, i can cut that procedure out now. now i just use cool mp3splitter to cut and power mp3 convertor to convert to wma for MPx200.

    Hi

This is the best way to make SMAF (MMF) files in my opinion. There are however also a few applications which does a whole range of ringtone conversions. The MP3Splitter sounds like the perfect tool for making tones!!

TIP: What you should try and do is split it so that the song can make a perfect loop. You just cut it right on the beat, or the offbeat. Play around and you'll get it right!
