Changing ringer volume for text messages.

You need to get into the message settings on your phone. Since I also have a Samsung A670 this is how its done:

Press the message button (under the blue OK button).
Scroll down and select Msg Setting.
    Scroll down and select General.
Scroll down and select Msg Alert.

From here you can choose the volume level (or vibrate) when alerted of a message, choose the alert message type, and frequency of alerts.

Following is a picture of the above instructions from the online Samsung a670 instruction manual.

I will look into it on my phone when i get home later (I'm at work right now and my phones battery just died, need to charge).

You can put it in 'manner mode' by holding down the # sign for about 5 secs and it will set everything to vibrate until you hold down that button again. I will post an update when I get a chance to review the menus later.

hit the message button under "ok" then hit 9, 3, 3, 1. Or msg. settings, general, msg. alert, and volume/vibrate. using the side buttons like normal phone volume, go down to silent. I know it wont vibrate but it will keep things quiet when u recieve messages. as for the phone beeping when its on vibrate for txts, ive never heard that on mine so i cant help u there.

    Peace out
