Ok I finally got the file manager to load for my x426, but now I can't figure it out.
It keeps showing as offline. I've gone to setup and changed it to COM3 but I can't get it to recognize my phone. I was messing around with it yesterday and it got to where instead of saying offline it said "nothing". I'm definitely technically challenged so if someone would help out that would be great. Thanks!

If you have a fax modem in your computer, COM3 could be for your fax modem and not your usb cable. Make sure the driver for your usb cable is installed properly. Check device manager and under Ports (COM & LPT), did you see any line with something like ... usb-to-serial ... (COMx), x could be any number from 3 or higher.

make sure you downloaded the right files for the samsung USB cable. Go to groups.yahoo.com and look for A530
In that group you will find the files and drivers for the USB cable

I got everything fixed and running. I did have the COM port set wrong..duh! Thanks guys!
