A650 Extendend Battery Won't Change Ring Option

I just got a third part extended battery for my A650 phone, and I can’t change the ring option. The battery works great, but for some odd reason the ring option only stays on vibrate, even I've selected a different ring option.

Is this normal and is there any way to fix it?

P.S. Is there a microchip in the Samsung battery that controls the ring option?

um... This is strang on sooooo many different levels, lol

1) that sounds odd
2) a battery? A battery only powers the phone
3) a micr-- BATTERY?!
4) I have never had this happen to me, but chances are, your PHONE is the problem, not the batery.
