If you have WAP, check out http://inevitabletruth.org/nokia/ringtones/upload/ - just upload your ringtone there and then download it via WAP!

WAP is when you connect your phone to the internet (not with a browser like the latest phones, but GPRS WAP). You can just type the address that the site supplies and download your tune...

If I use a data link cable that goes from my computer to my cell phone, can I get it that way?

Verizon is iffy with this stuff though.... Is it a MID file or MP3?

I pulled this post out of one of the newsgroups (please don't reply to it!)

I understand that you can rename an .MP3 as a .MID file - it doesn't change the format - but the misnomer "fools" the phone sometimes, and allows that MP3 to go into the ringtones folder if you send it through www.vzwpix.com

I haven't tried any of this stuff yet so I cannot vouch for its effectiveness - just got my phone a few weeks ago and don't have tower at my house to experiment with .
