recovering pictures

hi,

i was wondering if it was possible to recover pictures from the camera that have been deleted, you know, sort of like a trash can on computers? i'm not sure what model i have (if you tell me where to find it, i will most certaintly do that), but i also don't know if it matters. well, hopefully someone can help me. thanks.
