A680 Ringtones

Is it possible to upload ringtones to this model phone? I tried using DataPilot which does almost everything except ringtones. Has anyone been able to use the data cable to remove/add ringtones??

Also if possible, unlock code for this baby...

been searching for a good way to get quality ringtones on the same model...haven't been able to do it yet. i'll post if i do.

i believe your filetype is .qcp for voice, and .mid for polyphonic, you should be able to upload your tones to www.coolservice.dk/en/compatibilities.php and remember the 6 digit code given to you, and then on your phone go to wap.coolservice.dk and enter the code you got to download your tone! Good luck!

how would you make a ringtone with .qcp? My maker I got only saves in Mp3, Wav, AMR, SMAF... lol.

Edit: and how do you download files to it? I visited the url.. www.blahblah.com/file.midi and it just plays, how do I download it to my phone?

you need qualcomm's specific qcp converter, i believe it converts wav/mp3->qcp, search it on google, and if you upload the file to www.coolservice.dk/en/compatibilities.php and remember the 6 digit code given to you, and on your phone go to wap.coolservice.dk, enter your code, and download your file by clicking on the "Download File" link. thanks for the qpc. and yup, I clicked the download link but it just plays the file and is not in the "Download" section in my A680.

I used wap.coolservice.dk and it just says "The Requested Page can not be displayed" is that because my phone has some kind of lock on it?

I thought Voice was .AMR

Try AUDIO3G.com, they're great for ringers

AMR is a nokia ringtone format, QCP is a format used by most CDMA carriers, like almost all of sprints phones use it, and i know a bunch of verizon's do as well. QCP is qualcomms ringtone format, and they make the chipsets for CDMA phones.

Alright, then try this site to upload your files, the only things it asks for is your 10 digit number, the description of the file youre uploading, and then you upload the file and it goes straight to your phone. SPRINT PCS phones work with this 100%, other phones may or may not work with this site. CINGULAR and TMOBILE work with coolserice.dk 100%, just FYI, good luck!
