This is a sprint phone. Where do I find the IMEI? Want to unlock to use on different network. Bill in dispute and can't activate through Sprint. What network does sprint operate on?

    Thanks in advance?

sprint has CDMA phones, so they will not have an IMEI. they have an ESN, which can be found where the battery is. if you want to activate it with another service provider, i wish you luck. the only other provider that i know of that uses CDMA phones is verizon, but they will not activate sprint phones.

ya, I see that. I know there is got to be a way to let someone else have this phone and activate it. I paid good money for it. It only has 4.5 hours on it. I want for someone else to be able to use it. go figure, I have a $900.00 bill attached to it with 4.5 hours on it. Like I have said before, there is no possible way to rack up those charges in 4.5 hours.

if there are charges attached to the phone, sprint will not activate it no matter what. you could try verizon or another provider who uses CDMA phones, but even with the charges attached to the ESN, i can almost guarantee it will come up as "invalid ESN." they will tell you that the phone is now considered a "paperweight" lol

if you were overcharged by sprint, keep calling customer service until you get a good, helpful representative. sometimes it takes a while to find a good one. or better yet, email them from the website. many people have had very good luck with the emails. but i know how you feel. this past summer they really messed up my bill for two months. it was very frustrating to get it taken care of.
