Hello. I just registered here. Seems like a great place.

I just got the samsung sch-a970 (verizon) Its pretty nice. Anyway, I will be looking into getting a micro sd/transflash card very soon.

Question, Is there currently a data cable/software that works with this phone that will let me connect my phone to my pc to transfer ring tones/pics/videos. Does this phone support mp3 ring tons? Can they be read right of a card? Can I move pics/videos/ring tones from the card to the phones internal memory (therefore making a cable useless)

Is there anything else worth knowing about this phone? Anyone care to explain what "GPS" is on these phones?

Hey Tancer - i am new here too. I just got yesterday my Samsung SCH-A950 (the red flip with the jog dial on the front). I have found that you can save pics/flix/and mp3's to the phone memory, on mine. As for the ringtone part, i am not too sure due to the fact that i havent had the phone twenty four hours yet, and i dont have a memory card. I am hopefully getting one tonight and i will be able to tell you more. also is a transflash the same as a micro sd?

I know everything can be stored in the phones built in storage (which in my case = 60mb) I just want to know if it is possible to make your own ringtones or pics and transfer them to your phones internal memory via the transflash slot. Anyway, right now with pretty much nothing on my phone, I can take a 1 hour and 20 minute video on the phone.
