Well, first of all, are you holding it the right way? Phones with an internal antenna need to held near the bottom so your hand is not blocking the reception. Do you live in an older home, or is your home designed with a lot of steel or other metal? A lot of things can cause you to get interference or poor reception indoors, the signal has a lot more stuff to pass through.

You can practice holding your phone a different way for one thing, this made a huge difference for me when I had to get used to the internal antenna. Practice making calls in different parts of your house, near different windows, even stand under the ceiling fan. Even houses with no reception often have a "sweet spot" where you can stay in one place to use your phone.

I doubt it's the phone that is a problem. You might just have a weak signal inside due to some kind of natural or manmade interference. Go to google and type "cell repeater" and have a look at some ways you can actually amplify your signal indoors. I am probably going to invest in one myself before long, I am surrounded by big oak trees and steel structures, so my signal is weak indoors as well. It's not just Sprint, everyone has trouble in my house.

actually the a900's antenna is at the bottom of the phone, so you would wanna hold it at the top; says so in the mannuel infact. i guess you could try using one of those cell boosters, some ppl have had success with that; make sure u put it twords the bottom since thats where the antenna is

    Cellular repeaters

Although not your cheapest option, the only way I can think of guarenteeing good reception throughout your house is with a cellular repeater. The best value ones I have found are $260 and are available from the link below. I have one and it gives me perfect reception anywhere in my house thanks to the combination of an external directional antenna, a 55db signal amplifier and monopole rebroadcast antenna for indoors.
