    Hello all,
I just purchased the a930 and firstly wanted to see how to get the bluetooth to communicate with my laptop. hough people have said they've gottin it to work, I havent yet, but I'm a newbie to bluetooth.
I have a dell laptop with a Toshiba Bluetooth Stack to all those techs out there. I set the phone to Bluetooth connectivity, and somehow got the phone to discover my laptop
Then I click on my laptops "Bluetooth Settings" amd click on New Connection, click "Custom Mode" since express mode is just to set up a DUN, which I am not interested in. It recognizes my Samsung SCH a930, i select it and put in my pass code. It brings me to select service and I choose "serial port phonebook sync". Then i have to select a "COM port" it suggests using default port which is COM40. After I click next it says "Setup of COM40 complete. Setup application software and driver if needed." I click next it takes me to set up connection name and icon, i click next and reg. of connection is complete.
Now under blue tooth settings I see the icon, right click it and hit connect and it connects.
Now What? When i go to bluetooth > wireless file transfer it doesnt discover my device, or it doesnt recognize it as a transfer enabled device. It actually does nothing. I tried setting my phone to discover mode, but nothing changes. I've even right clicked on some low res pics to see if i can bluetooth them to the phone but when right clicked, there is no option to choose a device.
What am I not doing right, the computer sees the phone under bluetooth settings, has it as connected, but cant send any info there. Does the COM port make a difference. Any ideas would be great, thanks

    Re: bluetooth to a930 HELP

What software package do you use for your connectivity? I just downloaded BitPim. Similarly, my phone is detected by the bluetooth control panel, but not by the BitPim control panel.
