Cheap UK to USA texts service provider

Im looking for a service provider that offers the cheapest possible (in british pounds) texts... i only use my phone to text to the usa really so if the british > british charge is extortionate i wont really mind

cheap intl texts is the goal

anyone know of any providers that offer this? i am currently vodafone

phone is samsung d500

Try sending a text to the email for the US phone instead of the phone. Every phone has an email address to send it text messages from computers.

Texting as email works great, however are there independent texts service providers apart from the big cellular companies. I do not text often enough for a plan & my carrier Cingular just started charging .15 per SMS.
