Hello,
I just got a Samsung Sync, 707, branded Cingular. I am using my cingular sim and have totally fullfilled my contract.
I have tried star (*67) and that doesn't work, tried going to the menu where the phone settings are and "hide" my caller ID and the call won't go through.
Does anyone have a solution? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks,
DR

Re: Blocking Caller ID
Calling line identity
Outgoing CLI Release (recipient sees your number)
Release: *31# destination [SEND]
Withhold: #31# destination [SEND]
Query default: *#31#[SEND]
Incoming CLI Presentation (you see the caller's number)
Allow: *30#[SEND]
Prevent: #30#[SEND]
Query default: *#30#[SEND]

Re: Blocking Caller ID
Earl, thanks, but I guess I am really stupid here.. what do you mean "send" where is that?
Also, having all kinds of problems getting the stupid thing to quit trying to fill in a word when I do the first letter..This is not a user friendly phone, not compared to my motorola v635! Thanks for your help though, I am trying to learn it.

Re: Blocking Caller ID
Earl, Thanks for the links.
I called AT&T and they said that they do NOT recognize the #31#. So, I don't know what their problem is.
I have tried to send a text using *67 and the phone said "sent" but it was not in the sent folder, so, who knows. The merger with Cingular and AT&T is a mess.
Thanks though.
