I recently upgraded my cell phone to a Samsung Gleam (SCH U700) from Verizon wireless. One reason I chose this phone is to be able to combine the phone and music file playing capability into a single unit.

I have a 2 gb microSD card on to which I can load music or sound files (mp3 or wma) off of my PC. One thing I want to do is use the phone to listen to books.

My primary question is with the players on Samsung phones will they remember where they are in a file when they are turned off? For example if I have a file that is 60 min long and I have heard 30 minutes when I shut down will I have to start from the beginning upon next listening or will the player start from where I left off?

I hope this does not seem like a too simplistic question and any thoughts would be appreciated.

If you have the phone, why not try it out?
